MENANDS - Senator Kirsten Gillibrand was in Menands on Thursday. She says she's got a plan to help fix our infrastructure.

It's called the "Build Local, Hire Local Act."

Gillibrand says it would prioritize construction projects in communities that need them the most.

She says that would increase job opportunities and benefit labor unions.

Gillibrand's legislation would also promote the use of American-made products in rebuilding our infrastructure.

Hear more about how the plan would work by watching the video of Emily DeVito's story.
