Deliberations could start Thursday in re-trial of former NY state Senate leader, son

Deliberations in the Dean Skelos re-trial could begin Thursday.

Skelos is the former State Senate Majority Leader accused of using his office to get his son, Adam, a no-show job.

In closing arguments on Wednesday, the attorney for Adam Skelos told jurors his client did perform work at his $78,000 a year sales job for a medical malpractice insurer.

Adam is also charged with bribery and extortion.

Dean Skelos and his son were convicted in 2015, but the verdicts were overturned on appeal.
