Congresswoman Elise Stefanik was honored in Washington, D.C. Tuesday for her efforts to address child abuse.

The group Child Help gave her the award, pointing specifically to her work on a bill that passed in the House in Match with bipartisan support.

It would authorize continued funding for the 24-hour national, toll-free, Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453).
