Increase in absentee ballots means delay in primary election results

New Yorkers went to the polls on Tuesday to vote on primary races.

However, many voters opted for absentee ballots amid the coronavirus pandemic. That means it will be awhile before we have a clear picture of the election results.


County Board of Elections won't start counting absentees until the middle of next week.
