Group rallies in Albany to get big money out of politics

ALBANY - A local group wants to get big money out of politics - and on Wednesday, they took to the street.

The Fair Elections for New York Campaign held a rally on Wednesday outside the public hearing of the State Public Campaign Financing Commission.

They say they want $6 from the government for every $1 a candidate raises from small donors. They also want an end to the influence of big money on politics.

After the rally, supporters testified before the commission to demand they deliver a "model for the nation" public campaign finance program.
