Schumer calls for $1 billion in federal grants to improve election security

New York Senator Chuck Schumer says "never before have American elections been so susceptible to attack from foreign adversaries."
The Senate minority leader was at the Center for Internet Security in East Greenbush on Monday.
He's urging Congress to pass the "Election Security Bill." It would establish $1 billion in grants to be used to fortify local election systems across the country.
States would be required to implement paper ballot voting which can't be hacked.
The Senator believes there might be enough bipartisan support in Congress to pass the bill.
