Juvenile justice mental health services under review

ALBANY, NY - Two state assembly committees this week will examine the level of mental health services provided in the state's juvenile justice system.

The committees will hold a public hearing on Tuesday.

The meeting will focus on the level of care given to juvenile offenders struggling with some type of mental health challenges.

Findings from the hearing could play a role on reforms to the juvenile justice system in the legislative session.
