Fourth Democrat throws hat into Cohoes mayoral race

January 31, 2019 09:01 PM

The city of Cohoes is shaping up to have one of the most heated local elections of 2019.

Former City Treasurer Peter Frangie announced his campaign on Thursday afternoon.

His goals include controlling spending, modernizing services across the city, and reestablishing relationships in the community.

He says the city has spent far too much time in the public eye for the wrong reasons.

Frangie joins Common Council member Steve Napier, retired State Police Major William Keeler, and current Mayor Shawn Morse on the Democratic ticket.
