President Trump to visit Fort Drum

President Donald Trump plans to visit Fort Drum on Monday. There, he's expected to sign the $717 billion "National Defense Authorization Act" into law.

Under the measure, armed service members will get a 2.6 percent raise, the biggest hike in six years.

North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik says she sent a letter to the president in March inviting him.

The last four sitting presidents have visited Fort Drum.

Mr. Trump made a stop in Watertown during his presidential campaign.
