Skelos retrial likely headed to jury Friday

Jurors will likely begin deliberating Friday in the corruption retrial of former State Senate Leader Dean Skelos.

Closing arguments wrapped up Friday, but the judge didn't finish charging the jury.

Prosecutors say Skelos carried out a shakedown with businesses to get his son a no show job. Skelos says he was only trying to help his son through tough times.

Both were convicted in 2015, but the case was overturned on appeal after a Supreme Court decision narrowed the definition of corruption.
