Cobb is hoping to defeat incumbent Republican Elise Stefanik. Stefanik's involvement in the Trump impeachment hearings has catapulted the normally quiet 21st into the national spotlight.

On Sunday, President Trump tweeted that Stefanik is a new Republican star. Since then, donations from all across the country have poured into Cobb's campaign with celebrities and notable Dems offering up their support.

"Right now Washington is dysfunctional and Elise Stefanik is part of the problem," said Cobb.

Cobb said her campaign will not engage in name-calling, as Stefanik has dubbed her 'Taxin Tedra' in the past. Still, Cobb had some strong words to say about her opponent.

"Elise Stefanik is a Washington insider," said Cobb, referencing Stefanik's corporate campaign donors.

With a crowd of about 50 people on Tuesday in Queensbury, it was the first stop of what the Cobb campaign is calling the "Fighting for Northern New York Tour."

While met with cheers and applause, there were also some pushback. One man in the crowd was an advocate for universal medicare which Stefanik does not support. Stefanik greeted him with a hug before he clarified who he was.

Tensions also flared with a small group of known Trump supporters who called Cobb a liar after she spoke about the arrests of six constituents at Stefanik's office. Cobb allowing them to speak briefly before trying to find middle ground.

"I don't expect that we will agree on everything, but what I do expect is that we will be respectful of each other," said Cobb.
