Video testimony released in Cuomo’s sexual harassment case

New videos were released as part of the Attorney General’s Office slowly releasing key pieces of the investigation into sexual harassment claims against former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

It’s the first time the public is seeing the video testimony for the first time and some of his accusers, including the first woman to come forward, Lindsay Boylan.

There are hours and hours of videos to go through.

The special prosecutor brought in on this case, Joon Kim, spends about an hour questioning Cuomo about sexual harassment training, when and if he took it every year.

He then asks about former Cuomo aide, Lindsay Boylan, the first woman who accused the former governor of inappropriate behavior.

"I don’t remember making any comments about her appearance to anyone," said Cuomo. "I’ve never said, ‘Let’s play strip poker… I’ve never played strip poker.’"

In separate testimony, Boylan described her reaction to the governor’s alleged advances.

"Things were so far gone past appropriate at that point, and there was no reaction to his deeply inappropriate things, and I didn’t want to create problems for myself, and I didn’t know what to do. So I would just try and not react," said Boylan.

The video also includes Cuomo talking about Brittany Commisso. She’s the woman who has made the most serious allegation against the former governor.

Gov. Cuomo’s spokesperson, Rich Azzopardi, released the following statement:

"To the surprise of no one, Tish James continues abusing her government power to leverage her political future — prosecutorial misconduct, ethics and integrity be damned. James violated the law in appointing biased reviewers, and then she admitted personally interfering in the investigation.

"Today’s manipulated release of hand-picked witness testimony with selective redactions is typical. She even edited the Governor’s video testimony! It is also no coincidence that she decided to release select transcripts minutes before one of her rivals declared for governor.

"New Yorkers are no one’s fool and James and her colleagues’ obvious misuse of government resources to damage political opponents is as obvious and repugnant as it is unethical and illegal."
