NewsChannel 13 was the only station on the scene of the accident.

It happened not too far from the Fish Creek Marina.

Three people from Albany were out there enjoying the morning on a small fishing boat when police say things took a tragic turn.

The call for help came in sometime around 11 a.m.

Police say the man, 78-year-old Wieslaw Prelewicz and two women were boating.

Mr. Prelewicz was wearing a life jacket, but appears to have gotten trapped under the water, somehow getting his clothes tangled with the engine prop.

The women couldn't free him, so they yelled to nearby boaters who came over to help.

EMTs and paramedics were taken out to the scene by the Fish Creek Marina's owner on his boat and a few witnesses told NewsChannel 13 they saw the man being taken away by ambulance once they made it back there.

Saratoga Springs Police Lieutenant Bob Jillson says foul play is not suspected.
