The Fort Edward and South Glens Falls school boards are meeting this week to talk about a possible merger between the districts.

Fort Edward is working under a contingency budget after its budget proposal was voted down twice.

If both school boards decide to move forward, it will go to a vote in both communities, most likely taking place in the fall of 2021 or winter 2022.

The merger cannot happen unless both communities approve it.
