Injured logger rescued by helicopter in Saratoga County

Two helicopters were needed to rescue an injured logger in Saratoga County on Thursday.

It happened deep in the woods off Coy Road and Humes Road in the town of Greenfield.

According to the sheriff, a logger suffered injuries to his lower extremities, so a LifeNet helicopter was called to transport him.

A state police chopper was also called in to first extract the injured man from the heavily wooded area. Once they got him, they loaded him onto the other helicopter to rush him to the hospital
