At least two people have been arrested after dozens of larcenies in Saratoga County that included the theft of at least three vehicles and a handgun.

It's been happening for several weeks now in neighborhoods between Exits 10 and 11 on the Northway - the Clifton Park-Ballston Lake area.

Most have been crimes of opportunity - finding unlocked cars and stealing whatever they find inside. In one instance, that included a handgun.

The thieves grew bolder, eventually stealing the vehicles themselves.

One area homeowner who shared a video with NewsChannel 13 says she had more than $200 stolen from one of her cars and later found other items like her credit cards strewn along nearby roads.

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office hasn't released much information on the people they've arrested yet, only saying they're a couple of teenagers.

More details are expected Monday.
