A Saratoga Springs man who’s been drawing life and times in the Spa City for more than half a century has died.

Hud Armstrong died on May 11. He’s been a bartender since the late 60s.

Armstrong was well known in the city as the guy who mixes cocktails and art.

He painted the mural at City Hall and he illustrated all of the Chowderfest logo since.

Last year, NewsChannel 13 told you that his cartoons are compiled into a new book called "Booker D. and the N.G.s"

Hud Armstrong was an icon. He was 77 years old.
