Schenectady man charged with damaging Sheriff's Office vehicle

A 19-year-old was arrested and charged for criminal mischief Saturday night according the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office.

Officials say deputies responded to a loud party complaint at Ellsworth Commons in the Town of Malta at 10:38 p.m.


Pedro Rosario of Schenectady is accused of jumping up and down on the roof of a marked Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office vehicle, causing an excess of $250 damage, while deputies were investigating the complaint.

Rosario is charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd degree (class E felony) and disorderly conduct (violation). He was released on an appearance tickets and will return to the Malta Town Court at a later date.

The case has been turned over to the Schenectady Police Department.
