After months of organizing, faculty and staff at Skidmore College have filed for a union election.
The group calls itself the Skidmore Faculty Forward. Along with CSEA, they submitted a petition for a union election with the National Labor Relations Board.
They say more than 60% of the staff is in support of unionization.
A date for the election will be set by the NLRB.
