SARATOGA SPRINGS - Police are looking for the people who vandalized the half-million dollar entrance to Congress Park in Saratoga Springs.

Vandals spray-painted the recently refinished Katrina Trask Gateway at around midnight Saturday night into Sunday morning. They also painted trees, benches, and garbage cans, but it’s the graffiti on the staircase that has city leaders angry. They just spent several years and $500,000 to renovate them.

City workers have been able to remove the paint. Police are hoping cameras in the park and at nearby businesses will lead them to the three people responsible.

Hear the DPW commissioner discuss some of the work that had just been done before the vandalism by watching the video of the story.
