Former Schenectady County correctional officer charged with assault

A former Schenectady County Correctional Officer is under arrest.

Eugene Sellie was fired last week amid allegations of assault and departmental violations.

He's accused of assaulting a man who was being detained at the facility.

The victim suffered several rib fractures and a collapsed lung.

Sellie is charged with assault in the second-degree and official misconduct.
