Movie theaters want answers from the governor’s office on what guidelines they need to follow to get back to business and provide a safe experience for all.

Bow Tie Cinemas in Schenectady plan on implementing several safety measures, so they are prepared when they are finally able to reopen.

Those measures include socially distant seating, spaced-out show times, and staggered exit times according to Chief Operating Officer Joseph Masher. Masks will be worn except when eating and using the restroom.

Masher, who is also president of the National Association of Theater Owners, says they’ve seen great success in other states utilizing 50 percent capacity.

Now the theater is just asking for reopening protocols to be set by the state.
