Schenectady home catches fire after struck by car

SCHENECTADY- A house in Schenectady caught on fire after a car crashed into it early Saturday morning.

Officials say it happened at 12:30 a.m. on Dewitt Street when the driver lost control, struck two vehicles and then the house.


All four people inside managed to escape uninjured. The driver was taken to Ellis Hospital and is expected to survive.

A neighboring home was also damaged.
