The Gilboa-Conesville School District is cleaning up after fire ripped through their bus garage.

Superintendent Jack Etter says he's thankful there are no injuries, but there is a lot of damage left behind.

Etter says the head of the maintenance department reported a fire at the school's bus garage around 5:45 Wednesday morning.

The superintendent says inside the garage was one bus and a tractor.

Firefighters say the bus is a total loss.

As for the garage, the school had just put a new roof on it.

There is a lot of smoke and heavy fire damage and the garage may have to be replaced.

Due to a lack of water supply, the fire was a bit of a challenge for firefighters to fight.

Learn more about that and what it means for bringing some students back to the school buildings in person by watching the video of Emily DeVito's story.
