Empire fans ecstatic over team's success

ALBANY - More than 12,000 fans packed the Times Union Center to cheer on the Empire.

Until Sunday, Albany hadn't had an arena football title since 1999.


While they may only be in their second year, the Empire says they were determined to be here by the end of this season.

Many of the Empire fans NewsChannel 13 spoke with say they're are ecstatic to see the team make it this far and play on their home turf.

Win or lose, fans say a good time was had by all!
