Hamlin comes up short in quest for another Olympic luge medal

It was a disappointing finish Tuesday for Central New York's Erin Hamlin.

Hamlin came up short in her quest for another medal in Women's Luge. She finished in sixth place.

Hamlin is from the Utica area and has said this Olympics would be her last.

As she enters retirement, she can look back on a career filled with success.

Hamlin made history four years ago when she won bronze, becoming the first American woman to win a medal in Olympic Luge and the first American to medal in a singles event.
