Fall sports got underway in Section 2 on Monday with precautions.  It was the first day of practice for low and moderate risk sports throughout New York State.  That includes soccer, field hockey, cross country and tennis.  It does not include high school football which is considered high risk and will be played in the spring.  The defending Class AA champion Shenendehowa boys soccer team was on the field sporting masks which will be required for every practice and game throughout the season.  There will be a ten game regular season played without sectionals.
