NewsChannel 13 has learned that the University at Albany junior back court duo of Joe Cremo and David Nichols both plan to transfer out of the University at Albany program. The biggest of those two names is Cremo, who played his high school basketball at Scotia-Glenville.

According multiple sources, Cremo had a final meeting with Head Coach Will Brown on Thursday and the university will grant him his release on Monday.

Cremo, who scored 1,469 points in three seasons, wants to finish his college career playing at a higher level. There are number of Power Five schools that will reportedly reach out to Cremo once it's official. Cremo, who will graduate this summer, leaves UAlbany as one of the top five scorers in program history.

As for Nichols, he will also, like Cremo, use his grad transfer status not have to sit out a year and look to play for another team next season.

Nichols was a double-digit scorer for the Great Danes and also one of their top players.
