The worst kept secret in the Capital Region was made official Tuesday. The Tri-City ValleyCats will not play baseball this summer at the Joe.
The ValleyCats is one of the top summer attractions for families. This would have been their 19th season.
Not surprising, but still disappointing. There will be no season for the Tri-City ValleyCats. #coronavirus https://t.co/wAgnZLGUob

"These are unprecedented times for our country and our organization as this is the first time in our history that we've had a summer without Minor League Baseball played," Minor League Baseball President and CEO Pat O'Connor said in a statement.
The Cats’ season was supposed to their start two weeks ago.
