Section 2 athletes sign letters of intent on National Signing Day

National Signing Day kicked off Wednesday with student-athletes from around Section 2 signing their national letters of intent to participate in athletics at the collegiate level.  At Tamarac High School Tristan Nemjo became the first Bengal to receive a Division 1 athletic scholarship since 2014 when he committed to play baseball at Hofstra.  Earlier in the morning four Section 2 basketball players signed their letters of intent to play basketball in college.  NewsChannel 13 All-Star and Averill Park senior Kelsey Wood will play at Sacred Heart.  Shen's Bella Stuart will play at New Hampshire, Hoosick Falls' Logan Thayne at UAlbany and Makayla Blake at St. Michael's College.
