Whitehall Olympian banged up but ready to go

Whitehall Olympian Codie Bascue is recovering from a minor injury as he gets ready to return to competition in primetime on Friday night.

He'll be driving Team USA’s top four-man bobsled. Bascue's father tells NewsChannel 13 reporter Mark Mulholland Codie suffered a partial tear in his calf muscle during the two-man competition last weekend and has been getting treatment all week.

Craig Bascue says Codie is getting the "best care there is.” He says the medical team assures Codie he'll be okay to race tonight.

A big watch party is planned Friday night at Bascue's alma mater, Whitehall High School.
