GlobalFoundries donation help brings STEM to Capital Region Boys & Girls Clubs

SCHENECTADY - GlobalFoundries partnered with MiSci to help hundreds of students learn about science, technology, engineering and math.

GlobalFoundries donated $15,000 to enable students from local Boys & Girls Clubs to experience the interactive galleries at MiSci.

Students even got to take on a mission at the Challenger Learning Center.

"It's critical that these kids that are growing up here have these experiences and learn what they can do with their future – learn about science, learn about technology, learn about natural history and what their future might hold for them," explained Dr. Gina Gould, MiSci president.

The funding from GlobalFoundries paid for admission, transportation and lunches for the students.
