Thousands attend annual Independence Day fireworks show at Empire State Plaza

ALBANY - One of the biggest Fourth of July celebrations in the Capital Region takes place at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. Thousands headed there to watch the annual fireworks show. 

There was live music, food and drink, and as always, a spectacular fireworks display presented by Price Chopper and Market 32.

The celebrations kicked off with 29 people from 20 different countries becoming citizens. 

It was the 44th year for New York State's Fourth of July Celebration.
