An 18-year-old is accused of slashing someone with a blade at a juvenile detention center.

State Police tell us on May 22, an 18-year-old at the Brookwood Secure Center in Claverack slashed another resident at the facility.

The victim was treated at the hospital and released.

The 18-year-old is now charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and child endangerment.

He was arraigned in Claverack Town Court.
