ALBANY – A $6,000 grant will be used to renovate 12 blighted properties in Albany.

The money was awarded to the Albany Community Land Trust by Rep. Paul Tonko and funding from Albany’s American Rescue Plan.

The goal will be to provide more affordable housing in Albany’s West Hill neighborhood. The grant will also be used to improve vacant lots.

ARPA aims to close the gap between renovation costs of vacant buildings and their market values.
