Whitehall man accused of shooting 4-year-old son with BB gun
A Whitehall man has been arrested after he allegedly shot his 4-year-old son in the stomach with a BB gun. That’s according to our media partners at The Post-Star.
At last check, the boy was taken to Albany Medical Center. The paper reports that he has non-life threatening injuries.
According to the paper, on Saturday evening, police were called to Potter Street. Police along with EMS responded to the scene.
The boy was rushed to Glens Falls Hospital and later transported to Albany Med.
The motive of the shooting is unclear.
Eric Prorsser, 31, the boy’s father, is facing multiple charges. He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree assault. These are both felonies. He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, which is a misdemeanor.
Prosser was sent to the Washington County Jail.
