Gladys Davis says she’s lived at 306 Hackett Blvd. for 20 years. The last thing she expected to hear was her house was on fire.
Davis said she was out getting her hair done when her adult grandson called to deliver the bad news.
She said her knees buckled. It was history repeating itself. Before moving to her current home, 20 years ago, her 5-year-old grandson was killed in a fire at their old home.
This time, Davis tells us no one was injured, but the memories of that tragic day did send her daughter to the hospital.
“My grandson, she lost him in a house fire. So she got a little shaky crying. She’s not a strong, old grandmother, she said.
Davis just asks everyone for prayer as their family gets through this trying time.
