Albany woman charged in stabbing

An Albany woman has been arrested in a stabbing on Saturday.

Officers responded to a residence on Western Avenue near Cortland Place around 3:45 a.m.They found a 28-year-old man with a stab wound to his arm, police said.

The victim as treated on scene and taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.  

Xioma Farez, 31, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police said they knew each other.

She was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court.
