Black history month exhibit opens in NYS Capitol
There’s a black history exhibit on display this month in the New York State Capitol.
The exhibit looks at the history of voting rights in the U.S, and efforts to disenfranchise black voters once they had the legal right to vote.
It also covers the origins of the New York state legislature’s black and Puerto Rican caucus.
The exhibit is located in the governor’s reception room on the second floor.
