Capital Region Chamber launches initiative to support BIPOC businesses

The Capital Region Chamber is launching a new initiative to support BIPOC businesses. BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous and People of Color.

The Capital Region Chamber is teaming up with other organizations for the $1.5 million initiative. The chamber will help businesses with networking, professional development and one on one engagement.

According to the Network Journal, 80% of all Black businesses fail within the first 18 months.

Some business owners believe this will be crucial. Some business owners say they did not know where to go at first when they were starting their business.
