The owner of the Central Warehouse building in Albany is responding now that the city has set new repair deadlines.

The 11-story eyesore caused Amtrak trains to shut down briefly at the end of July when pieces of the crumbling building fell onto the tracks.

The city says removing the garbage and making the windows and doors airtight are at the top of a laundry list of repairs they are requiring the owner to make.

The owner, Evan Blum, told NewsChannel 13 he’s busy with multiple construction projects and has not yet read the new notices.
