The Hounds of Halloween were out today in Albany.

Ghoulish golden retrievers, devilish dachshunds, and terrifying terriers roamed the streets of Downtown Albany, for the annual dog trick-or-treating event.

Pups were dressed up for the costumed canine contest.

Their human beings could also stop by local businesses for unique Halloween treats.

Georgette Steffens, Executive Director of Downtown Albany BID, shared her feelings in light of today’s event.

“People love their dogs, a couple years ago we built the dog park, and so we really wanted to ensure that people knew that downtown is dog friendly.” said Steffens.

All of the money raised at today’s event will benefit the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
