Elevated levels of lead have been found in some of the drinking water in Troy.

The city says the elevated levels were found in some of the 60 homes and buildings tested around the city.

The mayor’s office says the city’s water source is free of lead – but the contamination could be from lead water service lines or interior lead plumbing.

If you live in a home built before 1975, the city recommends getting an inspection from the Department Of Public Utilities.
