FIRST ON 13: Video shows moment mom confessed to killing ‘Baby Moses’
New video obtained by NewsChannel 13 on Monday shows the moments a woman confessed to investigators to killing her newborn baby and leaving his body in Albany’s Washington Park more than 27 years ago.
The baby became known to the community as “Baby Moses”.
Keri Mazzuca is currently serving 25 years in prison after her guilty plea in February.
NewsChannel 13’s Dan Levy obtained video of Mazzuca’s confession from the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
The video shows investigators questioning Mazzuca last September, as she first denied being pregnant in 1997.
When police showed her the photo of Baby Moses, she gasped.
Just a couple of minutes later, she admitted to investigators she suffocated the baby boy, and put him in a bag.
