Arctic air lingers this week

Very cold artic air stays in place as lows fall to 5 below zero to 5 above zero for tonight and Wednesday night. Wind chill values will make it feel like below zero at times during the day and for most of the overnight. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny and quiet through Wednesday with highs in the teens.

Temperatures will begin to moderate for the latter portion of the week with highs rising into the mid 20s Thursday and Friday. A few passing snow showers will be possible Thursday with mostly sunny skies returning on Friday.

Temperatures will moderate further over the weekend with highs in the mid to upper 20s Saturday and into the lower 30s on Sunday. The next chance of snow showers will be on Sunday afternoon.
