Free carousel rides for the new year
As part of the city-wide celebration Saturday of the last day of the year, people got a chance to ride the historic carousel in Saratoga Springs.

The popular carousel is usually closed in the winter, but the Public Works Commissioner announced earlier this month that it would be open for families to get their last rides of the year.
They expected about 300 people to ride to carousel Saturday but that number may be even higher because so many people were out enjoying the mild temperatures.
