Hurricane preparedness trainings to resume
In an effort to be prepared for future hurricanes, Governor Kathy Hochul is announcing that preparedness training courses across the state will continue.
The courses will resume later this month, just ahead of national preparedness month in September.
Training has been paused since 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The courses have provided almost 350,000 New Yorkers with the training and resources necessary to properly prepare for, respond to, and recover from any kind of disaster.
