The faculty association at Hudson Valley Community College is fighting back after the school rejected the state COVID vaccine mandate.

The association sent us a statement that reads in part, “The decision by HVCC President Roger Ramsammy, made with no input from faculty or from membership of the college’s own COVID-19 subcommittee, is reckless and shortsighted.”

The faculty association says it has filed a grievance against the college, claiming the change violates contractual workplace safety provisions.

We have reached out to the college administration for their reaction.
