Judge likely to decide tight Saratoga Springs special election

It now appears a judge will have a role in deciding last week’s special election in Saratoga Springs.
The race between Republican Chuck Marshall and write-in candidate Hank Kuczynski, a Democrat, remains too close to call.
The two were separated by just 29 votes after ballots were counted on election night. Both sides have been looking at ballots since Friday to determine if they were filled in properly.
When the election commissioners can’t agree on whether the votes should be validated, they’re brought to a judge.
Sources say it likely go to court later this week.
The outcome will decide the balance of power on the City Council, where there are two Democrats and two Republicans.
