Kaylin Gillis’ grandfather says family sticking together through grieving process

Kaylin Gillis’s grandfather put on a strong face Thursday, saying she was gone too soon.

Gillis was shot and killed when she was riding in a car that got lost and pulled into the wrong driveway in Hebron, Washington County.

Kaylin’s friends and family crowded around her grieving boyfriend Blake Walsh in court as the suspect, Kevin Monahan, was denied bail.

Speaking with “Inside Edition,” Kaylin’s grandfather said the family is sticking together through it all.

“We’re huddling together as a family, sharing stories, pictures. This will be a long haul, obviously, but we’ll be together through this whole process,” said the grandfather. Gills was just 20 years old.
